Global Psychometrics Cafe was founded in 2018 by Wing Commander Joseph Paulson (Retd) — an Indian Air Force veteran who spent two decades selecting and training pilots, and the last two decades doing the same for leaders, professionals and students.
Jo's first classroom was a cockpit. Over more than two decades in the Indian Air Force he flew fighter jets — the MiG-21 and the MiG-29 — while also delivering leadership training and selecting pilots using the Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT). When the margin for error is measured in seconds, you learn to assess people with precision.
In 2003 he brought that discipline to the corporate world: consulting, leadership training and coaching with BlessingWhite, and outbound training — including firewalk and glasswalk experiences, certified by Sundoor. Alongside, he built deep expertise in consulting, training and delivery of a wide range of psychometric solutions from Psytech International UK and KCP Ltd (UK).
Since 2006 he has held the British Psychological Society's Level A/B certificate in Occupational Testing, and as a delegated assessor he conducts psychometrics training leading to BPS certification. He is also certified in MBTI Step-2 and Hogan tools. In 2018 he founded Global Psychometrics Cafe in Bengaluru — bringing world-class assessment, coaching and counselling under one roof.
